QBP Environmental Statement
Committed to Partnering for Lasting Change. At QBP we know that sustainable business practices are intimately linked with the health of our planet. We continuously evaluate our operations reducing waste and energy consumption, and finding more efficient ways to procure and distribute goods. As a wholesale distributor, we innovate green supply chain initiatives – upstream and downstream. We actively reach out to businesses and organizations, to provide solutions for incorporating sustainable practices in their enterprises. In this way—working together—we can effect lasting change that benefits our world for generations to come.

Environmental Sense and Business Cents
Shipping orders by air not only has a higher freight cost, but it also has a disproportionally high environmental impact. With QBP’s Ground Incentive Program if dealers qualify for an air shipping incentive and instead choose a ground carrier, QBP will not only pay the freight, but also give a discount on the invoice.

Paperless Incentives
Our Automated Clearing House (ACH) allows dealers to pay their invoice without writing and mailing-in a check. We offer dealers who sign up for ACH terms a discount of $.50 per invoice. We also provide dealers with an environmental credit ($.25 per invoice) if they sign up for electronic invoices instead of having a paper copy mailed.

Organics Recycling
This past year we partnered with Hennepin County to recycle all organic material. We now compost all food scraps, pizza boxes, paper towels, coffee grounds, spudware, napkins and more.

Green Purchasing
We are modifying the process by which we purchase our supplies to ensure that everything coming into QBP is sustainable if possible. This means that we look at everything, from the ketchup to the pens and paper.

Some of our environmental initiatives include:

  • 40 kilowatt solar array
  • LEED Gold certified distribution center
  • Company-wide recycling program
  • Vermicomposting
  • Reduced consumption of office paper
  • Bike tire recycling program for local customers
  • Energy and water saving technologies
  • Food areas stocked with biodegradable utensils and reusable ceramicware
  • Organics recycling through Hennepin County
